Aptis Placement Test

Aptis is an English language test service provided by British Council which is currently used by AUC , BUE , GUC , GrowSkills and all Universities around the world to accurately determine English language levels for students.

Once the candidates meet the admission’s general requirements, they will be scheduled to take Aptis test (visit Aptis webpage) for English level proficiency, based on which they will be admitted to their corresponding level.

HOW IS THE TEST STRUCTURED?

• Aptis tests grammar, vocabulary and language skills (speaking, writing, reading and listening). Each test taker completes a grammar and vocabulary test followed by the English language skills of your choice.
• Tests start with general questions and then progress to more demanding tasks. Each section of the test assesses English levels from A1-C.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE APTIS TEST YOU NEED?

You can choose whether to test all skills (speaking, writing, reading and listening) or just the ones most appropriate for your organisation.

For example, if you are an HR manager in charge of recruitment for front office staff your priority might be to assess English speaking and writing ability. However, if you are looking to assess the all-round language skills of your teachers then you would need all four skills: speaking, writing, listening and reading.

If a candidate feels that he/she is eligible for direct entry into the Core Program, he/she will be required to take the IELTS through the GrowSkills IESOL - ISESOL Testing Center or any other authorized testing center (Apply for IELTS).
